Ola Loa (Which means "long
life" in Hawaiian) is dedicated to health education, nutrition,
and wellness. It is our goal to educate as many people as possible
on improving the quality of their lives. Long life is what we
want to share with everyone!
Through our work in the schools and other venues;
and through public appearances, television, radio, articles,
books and other media, our company will continue to educate
as many people as possible on the importance of the relationships
between nutrition and disease; nutrition and learning; nutrition
and behavior. We also know that mental, spiritual, and emotional
healths are equally as important as physical health, and we
hope to update our site soon on these issues. Take control of
your health in all aspects and you will enjoy a long and happy
life full of abundance.
Tami Hulcher, is president and CEO of Ola Loa, Inc. Nationally recognized as "The Queen of Health", Tami has been dubbed the “Erin Brokovich of Nutrition” by the press and media, because of her aggressive stance on our toxic food environment, Ms. Hulcher’s popular lecture series "Got Health?" and “Getting You and Your Kids to Eat Right” have been featured at many businesses, schools, PTAs, medical facilities, hotel/spas, athletic clubs, church and women’s groups. She has been featured at the award winning The Oaks at Ojai, and has been a guest speaker for Boeing, Pepperdine, University of Southern CA, American Heart Association, The Whole Children Whole Planet Expo, and The City of Pasadena’s Cancer Awareness program,to name a few.

Ms. Hulcher has also made numerous television
and radio appearances from NBC’s Today in L.A, KTLA’s
Morning Show (twice), KESQ-ABC TV, the Leslie Marshall Show
and more. From health conscience to health advocate to health
educator, this busy mother of three children (ages 18, 20, 21)
is also a soon-to-be author. She is also writing another nutritional
book for busy parents Ms. Hulcher is a contributing health writer
for magazines, and has been featured on a magazine cover, and
in Working Mother Magazine twice. For a brief bio, please click

Most recently, Ms. Hulcher has been working
with many health care professionals providing nutritional resources;
one doctor is a prominent Southern CA specialist who treats
patients with AUTISM, ADD/ADHD and other learning
or behavior issues. “After attending a recent medical
convention on Autism, I’ve become more passionate about
this issue, and have been ‘gently persuaded’ to
produce a documentary. I’m currently assisting autistic
patients and their families with their nutritional needs. My
own son was diagnosed with ADHD, so I know first hand that nutrition
plays a key role in learning, behavior and also the prevention
of disease.”
Ms. Hulcher has been conducting seminars and
lectures with parents and students regarding nutrition issues
such as obesity, cancer and general health education. "I
have volunteered at many schools, and was alarmed at what I
saw these children put in their mouths on a daily basis! About
70-80% of the "toxic" food, drinks and snacks have
no nutritional value! It's no wonder that our children are suffering
from obesity, immune malfunctions, behavior problems and learning
disabilities. There walking around full of toxins, not only
from our air, and water, but our food. My lectures and classes
provide parents and students with healthy and simple solutions.
I teach them to read labels, and to understand that there is
a direct correlation between nutrition and diseases; nutrition
and learning behaviors; and nutrition and academic and athletic
performance. My lectures are not just for parents, the information
is basic. I really feel blessed to be able to gift and share
health information with concerned parents, children and other
individuals."
Ms. Hulcher is part of the City of Santa Clarita’s
health committee, and has been asked to be part of their 2005
“Healthy Santa Clarita” Program. “Having three
children in Santa Clarita Valley schools (college & high
school), this is so important to me, and I hope to add value
to the program by providing up-to-date nutritional information,”
says Ms. Hulcher, who also serves on the SCV Parents Nutrition
Council. She has been a guest speaker for the City of Santa
Clarita many times.
In an effort to bring the most up-to-date information
to the public, Ms. Hulcher continues her education through college
courses, nutrition certification classes, attends medical conventions,
subscribes to many scientific and medical journals, and continues
her research in the correlation between nutrition and disease.
An advocate for disease prevention, Ms. Hulcher says she’s
“blessed” to have many friends and colleagues, from
PhDs to MDs, to RDs to RNs to share their knowledge and expertise.
Ms. Hulcher also provides ‘Lunch ‘n Learns’
for busy health care professionals and their staff, as many
physicians are not trained in nutrition.
Tami is also a former California state queen,
having gone on to the nationally televised competition. She
has served on several boards of directors and various philanthropic
committees, with issues ranging from children, health, cancer,
heart disease and environmental issues.
